Hi, I’m Diana Kirste. I’m a pharmacist and functional medicine health and nutrition coach, and I help people with Type 2 diabetes finally take control of their blood sugar. I didn’t start out knowing I would end up in this work—I spent years working in the hospital system, watching patient after patient struggle with diabetes. Many were doing everything “right” according to standard advice, taking multiple medications, and still seeing their numbers climb. I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate food, exercise, stress, and medications all at once. That frustration lit a fire in me—I knew there had to be a better way to support people in a realistic, individualized way.
That’s why I became a health coach. I believe managing diabetes isn’t about restriction, perfection, or endless supplements—it’s about having a clear plan, the right guidance, and practical strategies that fit your life. I’ve been where you are: confused about what to eat, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, and unsure how to make sustainable changes. Now, I get to help people break through that confusion and feel confident in their choices, meals, and routines. When I’m not helping clients take control of their health, you can find me exploring new hiking trails, experimenting in the kitchen, or curling up with a good book. Thank you for stopping by—I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to support you on your journey to better blood sugar and better health.

It All Started When...
Â
It all started when I was working in outpatient care, helping patients manage their diabetes medications. Day after day, I noticed a pattern: patients were doing everything “right” with their prescriptions, yet their blood sugars were still unpredictable. They’d ask questions about food, workouts, and lifestyle changes—and I realized there was a huge gap in support for nutrition, stress management, and overall wellness. I felt frustrated — watching people taking a lot of medications and still struggle. I remember one patient in particular, who was doing everything she was “supposed to,” yet her blood sugar kept spiking. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and asked, “Am I doing something wrong?” That moment hit me—this wasn’t about failure; it was about a system that didn’t give her the tools she truly needed.
That frustration pushed me to dive deep into functional medicine, beyond the “just take your meds” approach. I learned how powerful gut health, stress management, and the right balance of nutrients can be for stabilizing blood sugar. I discovered that managing diabetes isn’t just about medications—it’s about understanding your body, making informed choices, and having a personalized plan that actually fits your life. That’s what inspired me to become a coach: to give people the guidance, support, and tools I wish they had in the clinic, so they could finally feel confident, empowered, and in control of their health.
But Then Everything Changed...
After seeing so many people struggle, I realized I couldn’t just keep treating symptoms with medications alone—I needed to understand what was really driving blood sugar imbalances and how to fix them from the ground up. I also wanted to advocate for my patients because the standard approach wasn’t giving them the tools to succeed beyond prescriptions. My turning point came when I started applying the principles of functional medicine—not just in theory, but in my own life and with clients who trusted me. I began exploring gut health, stress management, balanced nutrition, and personalized wellness routines—and the results were undeniable.
The biggest catalyst for me was seeing the same frustration I felt in my patients reflected in my own life and in those around me. I knew there had to be a better way to help people live well, not just manage numbers. I committed to learning, experimenting, and creating practical strategies that actually worked in real life. Step by step, I built a framework that stabilized blood sugar, improved energy, and restored confidence in daily life.
Now, my life and the lives of my clients look very different. People feel empowered to make decisions without fear or confusion, enjoy meals without stress, and experience improvements in energy, focus, and overall wellness. Seeing patients finally take control of their health and thrive—not just survive—was the ultimate reward. That transformation showed me that with the right tools, support, and guidance, lasting change is possible—and it’s exactly what I help my clients achieve every day.
 Now I'm able To...
Help people with Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and insulin resistance take control of their blood sugar in a way that’s realistic, sustainable, and tailored to their lives. My journey—from watching patients struggle in outpatient care to diving deep into functional medicine—gave me a unique perspective on what truly works. I’ve walked in the shoes of those who feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice, exhausted by endless medications, and frustrated with unpredictable blood sugar. That empathy allows me to create solutions that meet people where they are, instead of expecting them to fit into a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
Through this experience, I developed a framework that combines personalized nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, stress management, and practical wellness strategies. I help my clients understand their bodies, make confident choices, and see real, measurable improvements in blood sugar, energy, and overall health. My journey taught me that managing diabetes isn’t just about numbers—it’s about giving people clarity, support, and tools they can use in real life. Today, I’m proud to guide clients through the same transformation I’ve dedicated my career to creating, helping them feel empowered, confident, and in control of their health every step of the way.
